Where geometry meets fabric. This is the archive of my experiments with Patternmaker Pro—from reviving vintage 1960s drafts to stress-testing modern algorithms.
Download the project files, inspect the math, and view the results.
Deep dives into drafting theory and vintage reconstruction.
Armstrong vs. Aldrich vs. PMP
I drafted the "Standard Bodice" using instructions from three major textbooks and overlaid them in PMP. The differences in armhole depth and ease distribution were surprising.
Digitizing a classic magazine pattern.
Taking a single-size text instruction from 1964 and converting it into a fully graded, multi-size parametric block using PMP's variable logic.
Essential blocks and tutorials to get you started in PatternMaker Pro. Use these in the Demo to test out the software.
These are the sets I use for all testing, tutorials and foundation blocks.
You can import them into the Demo to try things out.
